My Creative Box is a family-run business, brimming with goodness, thoughtfulness and innovative ideas that intend to facilitate learning, fun and creativity for children. With a focus on fostering creativity whilst also assisting in educational development, My Creative Box develops and delivers a range of unique subscription-based activity boxes that stimulate and aid the development of young minds and connect them with the adult they work with on their project. Each box is catered to a certain age group and delivers a different experience that ties into unique learning outcomes for children. Pretty impressive, right?

  • To gain clear strategies and guidelines that will help them to be consistent in look and feel, voice and messaging

  • Target new age groups as the business and product range grows

  • Overhaul the current look and feel of the brand and replace it with something more contemporary and reflective of the brand

Enter Inka

Leanne and George of My Creative Box came to Inka with concerns of outdated branding and brand voice. They were looking to transform their brand so that it could seamlessly work alongside their business while providing opportunities to grow and build. It goes without saying that these projects are BIG, but, we love that. There is nothing better than uncovering all the beautiful layers of such a thoughtful brand and using what we uncover to build and create something epic, both visually and from a customer experience perspective.

Elevating and building the My Creative Box brand all started with a Brand Exploration, to uncover all the glorious values, motivations and intentions of this innovative brand. Using our Brand Architecture, we tied all of our research together to create a tough-as-nails framework outlining their uniqueness, their audiences, their personality and how they should represent all this from a visual aspect (think design, packaging, photography.)

Not only were we thrilled to knuckle down and build these guidelines for My Creative Box - it was also amazing to be so heavily involved in the creative processes that accompany that kind of expansion. Most notably, our three-part photoshoot that consisted of art-directly flat lay photography, lifestyle shots and product photos. See the results for yourself!

The result? 

Oh boy, was this brand transformation one to remember! We actually could not be more proud or stoked at the outcome of this project. The brand’s new graphic design and website tied in perfectly with the photoshoot that Inka planned, conceptualised and directed. We gave their mascot, Chirpy, a new look and created some new mascot friends for him to represent the different age groups that My Creative Box caters to. Alongside this, we evolved the brand logo and gave it a bit of a modern spin, yet made sure it remained recognisable to the very loyal customers of My Creative Box! The end result was a beautiful and cohesive-looking brand with a tight-knit foundation and strategy - to help them seamlessly evolve in the future.
