5 Quick Wins for Your Brand

There’s a lot we can’t control right now, but putting plans in place for the things we can control has given us a whole new purpose at Inka. And we wanted to share those inspired, purposeful feelings with you. So we’ve popped together a list of 5 practical things you can do, right now, for your brand. Don’t worry, we’re not talking about a whole new brand redesign or creating a website from scratch (although we’re here if that’s the sort of thing you have in mind 😉). We’re talking simple, straight-forward tasks that you can do to improve your business. Some quick wins if you will.

Before we start we’d just like to preface this by saying be kind to yourself and accept that in your present reality, some or maybe all of the things just aren’t achievable for you. Perhaps the biggest focus of your day is simply getting through it. That’s a-okay. Tuck this list away for a rainy day, pop some funky music on, eat some chocolate and come back to it once the fog has lifted.

Let’s get into it!

  1. Give your website a mini audit

Jump in and look at your website from the perspective of your user. Go through your pages and check for any broken links, update any copy that may need updating. Also think about whether you can add anything new to your site, like testimonials or photos. Sometimes a simple reformat and refresh can bring new life to your website.

  2. Create a content bank

We all find ourselves desperately searching for content to post on our socials week-to-week. Now is the perfect time to build up a library of imagery, words and inspiration to use for future posts. Perhaps set up a Canva account and create yourself some templates in your branding or search on Unsplash for free stock photos that are relevant to your brand. You could even have a crack at creating your own content. Which brings us to our next point...

  3. Practice your content creation skills

If you’ve ever wanted to refine your content creation skills, now is the time. Practice doing flat lay photography if you have products to sell, record some videos of yourself talking to camera, sharing your tips, advice or best ways to use your product, take an online photography tutorial or jump on Pinterest and get lost in a wormhole of inspiration. You have the time to play, so get creative!

  4. Spruce up your Instagram profile

Often something that we set up when we’re first starting our pages but forget to come back to. Your Instagram bio has really powerful converting potential so make sure that you’re utilising it. Some key points? Articulate your business offering, link to your website, tell people how they can contact you and don’t underestimate the importance of your highlights. Not on Instagram? This is also the perfect time to give your LinkedIn profile a spruce.

  5. Write some blogs

Blogs often get put to the side because they do take a little more time, especially for those of us who aren’t seasoned writers. However, uploading regular blog content to your website works wonders for your SEO. Start with a list of topic ideas and go from there. Remember, your blogs don’t have to be grand essays with ground-breaking wisdom, they could be anything from top 5 tips and checklists to your musings on the latest industry trends. You have knowledge that’s worth sharing and your audience wants to hear about it… so give the people what they want!
